The application relies on a battery of QSAR models, combined in a workflow resulting in a final prediction for the P, B and T property of each compound, provided with a reliability value. These predictions are then transformed into normalized scores, which are combined into a global PBT score, useful for screening and ranking purposes.

The application is developed in Java and can be run on every platform supporting the Java Runtime Environment, version 7 (see www.java.com for further details).
PROMETHEUS has been developed under a grant by Umwelt Bundesamt (UBA). UBA holds the intellectual property of the software and of the methodology hereby implemented. UBA releases the software under a GPL 3 (GNU General Public License version 3) license.
